CHRISTMAS ACTIVITIES

Santa is always very busy during the run up to Christmas checking out the homes during the annual "house to house collection", meeting the children and other residents during the "street collection" in Terminus Road and at the same time supporting the Eastbourne Lions Club.

'Dear Sir

On behalf of the Members of the Eastbourne Lions Club may I, through your newspaper, thank the members of the public who gave so generously to our Christmas appeal through the street and house to house collections and tombolas during December. A total sum of over £3,500 was raised which will be used to help local groups and other good causes. I would also like to thank Eastbourne Borough Council, Wealden District Council and Langney Shopping Centre who gave us permission to collect and the Eastbourne and District Network Scouts and Polegate Pre-school Playgroup Committee who helped us raise funds, in all weather conditions, with the Christmas Sleigh.
Any group wishing to receive help from the Eastbourne Lions Club Charity Trust can request a grant application form by telephone on 01323 460461 or contact us at www.eastbournelions.net'
